As Max put it:
A particular interest of mine is creating networks of simple analog electronic circuits (in the form of synthesizer modules) coupled with digital signal processors for composing generative music. Initially this was the main reason for me to get into hardware modular synthesis; to build a system where I could choose between many different digital and analog components, picking and choosing what parts of the hybrid system I need to be completely continuous and where digital is more suitable, where I want fine control over movement and sound and where I want it to let it run it’s own course. Conceptually I am attracted to creating semi self composing systems by setting up dynamical systems of which some elements are in the discrete domain (DDS) and some in continuous domain, creating chaotic and stochastic motions over which I have control where these motions get to steer arrangements, clock the system rhythmically and influence the created timbres.
